Europe. Using an innovative system, we harness the chill air to cool our servers
instead of using energy-intensive methods. As a neighbour to our European
headquarters in Dublin, our data centre is proud to work with local contractors
and hire the local workforce to progressively make the internet better for
everyone.

2011
Since purchasing land and building our data centre in Dublin in 2011, we’ve increased our long-term commitment to the region.
We placed a mural on one of our Dublin data centre’s louvered walls. These walls allow fresh air to pass freely into the building and efficiently cool the servers inside.

2012
Google opens our first data centre in Dublin, Ireland.
